Group Aims - 'Mission Statement'
Tÿrslið (Pro.Tears-lith), also known as Vikings! (Of Middle England), is a non profit-making, non-political organisation, established to recreate Dark Age life and battles, performing to the public for entertainment and educational purposes. Tÿrslið’s aim is to provide the best display(s), both living history and realistic combat possible, subject to safety, terrain and client restrictions.
The priority of these displays is realism, authenticity, public interpretation and entertainment value. Each of these four points is given equal importance.
All members treat combat and Living History with equal importance.
Applications for membership are not discriminated against on grounds of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability.
Club equipment is provided where necessary for members to use, free of charge, but is expected to be treated with care and consideration and should be returned at least in the condition it was recieved in.
