Vikings! Of Middle England try to accommodate all and any situations a perspective member is in when they want to join; maybe you live too far away to make weekly training, or perhaps you have children that you feel you can't leave to do shows. No problem. Below is a list of membership types, simply choose one that suits you!
- Membership Types
- Full Membership - Full membership is free, but full members are expected to attend training at least every other week. A full member can be either combatant or non-combatant but must be over 16 years of age. Full members are also expected to attend at least 50% of our yearly shows, and the group will do all it can you aid members in this endeavour.
- Auxiliary Membership - Auxiliary membership is for people who perhaps live too far away, or have other commitments besides re-enactment; essentially those who cannot make weekly training session or the majority of shows but have a real interest in the hobby. Auxiliary membership costs £25 for the first year, and £10 pounds for subsequent years.
- Guest Membership - A one-day membership is available too, this is particularly suitable for other re-enactors who want to see what a Tÿrslið show is like, or people who want an interesting experience. They also take part in some of our displays, where it is safe for them to do so.
- At large multi-day shows, food is provided for members, free of charge as is accommodation.
- You get to meet a collection of wonderfully varied people who will most defiantly become like an extended family.
