SpFX Offered
This is a list of the current special effects offered by Vikings! Of Middle England.
Those marked with a '*' are proposed or in preparation.
- Battles and/or Acted Scenarios
- Blood Bags - used in the main vattles of the day, and in smaller skirmishes too. When hit, these explode and leak fake blood with a stunning visceral effect.
- Small Battle Wounds - these self applied wounds make the small hits in a combat look far more realistic as glancing blows produce cuts with blood.
- Throat Cuts - Throat cuts can be done as an especially grizzly special effect with latex and makeup, but mostly, a specially designed 'blood knife' is used in battles.
- Throat Bite - Victims throat is bitten out by a 'berserkr.'
- Bruises, Scars, Wounds, Cuts and Abrasions - Make-up, latex and blood; making warriors look battle-weary and battle scarred.
- Tongue Cut Out - a SpFX that speaks for its self.
- Hangings - a criminal or enemy of the King is hanged from a gibbet.

Surgery
- Tooth Extraction - used with our Surgery this is not for the feint hearted as the surgeon pulls a diseased tooth from a very frightened victim - patient - without anesthetic!
- Arrow Wound - A rather graphic demonstration of extracting an arrow from a human.
- Belly Wound - The surgeon operates on a nasty sword wound, probing the flesh for
- Cauterisation* - A technique to stop bleeding where a hot metal instrument is placed on the wound!

- P.A. - Good quality PA with large speakers that emit a crisp sound. Perfect for narration, music and more.
- Radio Microphones - so even on the largest fields, the audience can hear what the men in charge have to say.
- Lights - High powered out-door lamps that can light up any dark area for an evening performance.
